UMFCD
Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy (UMFCD), Bucharest, Romania, stands as one of the nation’s oldest and most esteemed medical institutions for higher education and medical research in Central Eastern Europe (101-150 for Clinical Medicine in Shanghai Ranking). Established in 1857 the University has an exceptional tradition in both medical academia and research, providing a third from all the medical doctors in the country. UMFCD has 4 faculties: Medicine, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy, Midwifery & Nursing, with more than 11,000 students/year enrolled in graduate and postgraduate programmes, 5 master programs and PhD programs.
The University of Medicine and Pharmacy ‘Carol Davila’ is an active player for educational, scientific and industrial cooperation, being a member (Coordinator and Partner) in different national, european and international research consortia: 23 H2020 and HEurope, EU4Health and Erasmus projects, 35 projects nationally funded from public and private sources, with a total income of 25 357 698 Million EUR. UMFCD is the Coordinator of the most important research project in Romania, ROGEN, with a budget of 85 Million EUR.

CZARMA
The Czech Association of Research Managers and Administrators (CZARMA) was established in 2022. It was a strictly bottom-up action – the community decided to allow only individual membership. Until the end of 2022, CZARMA grew to astounding 347 members; in 2023 the number of members surpassed even 500! The members of CZARMA work in 22 cities and represent 91 institutions, and together they strive to share knowledge, promote professional development of RMAs, and contribute to cultivation of Czech and European research area.
